A rebuilder is a vehicle that has been damaged in a wreck or flood, or sometimes just recovered from a car thief. It makes sense in certain situations to sell the car part by part, but in the case of the rebuilder, it is wiser to fix the unit so that it can drive again. These vehicles usually sustain minimal damage and will drive like new again with the proper care, while saving the driver thousands of dollars off a new or used car, truck or SUV.
